Sumita is a large member of the Yaminobu who possesses great strength to wield a long-handled ax. He is able to chop trees in a single swipe, and along with Yatsume, teamed up to fight Battousai. However, in his battle, Sumita's legs were cut off, but in the end, he had gotten the last laugh by creating an explosion that nearly blinded Battousai for good.
